I have only had it delivered, but this is real proper sushi, unlike a lot of other restaurants in the area. The food quantity and quality are both there.

This place doesn't look like much and I definitely didn't expect it to be that great but it was actually very delicious. I got a sushi roll (forgot the name but it was spicy tuna and salmon) that was super tasty as well as the seafood udon. It was my first time having udon and I wasn't disappointed in the flavor. For the large chunks of salmon and fish they put in the soup I'd say pricing was on point. They also brought out 2 eggrolls which the flavor was decent and the filling kinda soggy but the crunch on the outside definitely made up for it.

This is the BEST sushi in Oakland! (Don't debate me, debate with yo mama!) Ordered through DoorDash and I was NOT disappointed at all. I ordered the Red Dragon and 49ers rolls and both were DELICIOUS!! I was truly surprised when I received a complimentary sparkling pear juice and veggie spring rolls; both gave me so much LIFE! Everything was fresh and was made with so much care. I have found MY sushi spot here in Oakland!! I would highly recommend every item I mentioned in my review. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. I will GLADLY spend my coin here every week!! Thanks Shogun and see you soon!!

I ordered a Bento tonight from Uber Eats, and I gotta say it was absolutely perfect. Every component was well seasoned and hot. Not warm or room temp but Hot. The sweet and sour sauce had a delicate spicy note. I am super impressed and will eat here again soon. Thank You for being open during the pandemic, I'm a Chef locally and really appreciate the effort.

This place is absolutely amazing. Their sushi is the freshest I've ever had (over three major cities NYC, SF, LA). Everyone else caught on too during covid as their delivery wait times could be sometimes 2 hours (only on friday nights)! Don't worry though, its worth the wait. Grab yourself a Snow White Roll a Sunset Roll and thank me later. Don't think twice check out Shogun with the great staff, great food, and caring, welcoming vibes!

Ordered delivery at 10pm. Food was excellent, and they even included a complimentary miso soup, salad, and some egg rolls. Delicious food (from what I had) and above and beyond service. Thank you!

I was out walking my dog, and I got this craving for sushi. I had picked up delivery from here before doing Doordash, but never tried it myself. They were sort staffed so I did have to wait a bit. But it was 1000% worth the wait. I got the Lion Princess and the White Dragon. Both delicious. And the sauces on the side took it to another level.
